The OHSAA announced locations for week 13, and Clinton-Massie and Milton-Union will play 7 p.m. Friday at Centerville Stadium. The winner will play either Bishop Hartley or Ottawa-Glandorf in the state semifinal. For all of next weekend's games, check out the week 13 scores page.
Falcons smother Foley, Batavia in 42-13 victory
Clinton-Massie advanced to the Region 16 championship game Friday night with a convincing 42-13 victory over Batavia at Kings High School. They'll play Milton-Union next Friday night at a site to be announced Sunday.

The Clinton-Massie Falcons and Batavia Bulldogs will look to remain undefeated tonight and take one step closer to Canton when they meet at 7:30 p.m. at Kings High School.

Clinton-Massie & Batavia to play at Kings High School
The OHSAA announced Sunday that Clinton-Massie and Batavia will play their Region 16 semifinal game at Kings High School. The game will be played 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kings. Norwood, the SBC's other representative in the playoffs, will play its Region 16 semifinal at Kettering Fairmont against Milton-Union.

Clinton-Massie had no trouble Friday night defeating Madeira 48-7 in its playoff opener at Frank Irelan Field at Clinton-Massie High School. They'll next battle Batavia next Friday night. We'll have the location on Sunday. Norwood and Milton-Union also won in Region 16.

Blanchester pounds CNE to close 2012, 41-21
Ricky Nicely scored three touchdowns and Austin Jones added two touchdowns as Blanchester defeated Clermont Northeastern 41-21. The game audio will be archived and replayed later on Saturday.

After a 15-month hiatus, the King of Online Radio returns to the computer stream tonight as the Blanchester Wildcats host the New Richmond Lions. Wildcats hold off scrappy Bethel team, 21-14
Blanchester had just six offensive possessions Friday night, but made them count in a 21-14 win over Bethel-Tate. Read my full game story in Saturday's Wilmington News Journal.
Also Friday night, Clinton-Massie destroyed McClain to go to 4-0. Wilmington and East Clinton lost tight league games. Goshen is now 4-0 after throttling Clermont NE.

Waynesville pulls away to blow out Wildcats, 36-0
After only leading 7-0 at the half, Waynesville's offense kicked it into high gear in the second half, pulling away from Blanchester 36-0 Saturday night at Waynesville HS. The game was suspended Friday night with 9:02 left in the second quarter, with Waynesville leading 7-0. Blanchester falls to 1-2 as it opens SBC play next Friday night at home against Bethel-Tate.

Clinton-Massie dominates Alder, wins 49-7
The game of the year turned out to be a dud thanks to a spectacular performance by the Clinton-Massie Falcons. They dominated from start to finish in a 49-7 rout of Jonathan Alder in Plain City Friday night. Clinton-Massie is rolling at 3-0, and a 10-0 regular season seems a forgone conclusion. Weather wreaked havoc across Southern Ohio. Blanchester and Waynesville were stopped due to lightning. They'll resume at 7 p.m. tonight in Waynesville. Waynesville leads Blanchester 7-0 with 9:02 left in the second quarter.

Wildcats and Falcons renew rivalry to kickoff 2012
We're a little (actually a lot) behind updating the site for various reasons, but the high school football season waits for no one. Blanchester and Clinton-Massie will renew their Cider Keg rivalry tonight at Blanchester High School. I'll post a link where I will have twitter updates on tonight's game.
Also tonight, East Clinton begins its first season in the South Central Ohio League with a non-league tilt against Waynesville. Goshen travels to Ross to open the season.
